Greetings, Explorers -
Each month more and more folks are connecting into this newsletter community. To those who are receiving this as your FIRST Heart Space Center newsletter - welcome! - and thank you for being here! To those who have been here since the beginning - welcome back! - it’s always an honor to have you here with us as you continue your journey into Your Heart Space Center.
This small monthly newsletter offering is something I put out in an effort to keep you in the loop on all of The Heart Space Center’s upcoming offerings, and to share what’s on my heart should it resonate and speak to you as you move through your days, and connect to what’s feeling present and alive for you.
It seems just yesterday I shared our New Year’s newsletter - February flew by, and already here we are, stepping into March.🍀 I believe the saying is true that time seems to goes by faster as we age. With that, over time, I’m learning to take full advantage of each day; not by doing more, but by slowing down and enjoying what I am doing. As times goes by faster and faster (or so it seems), intentionally slowing down can feel nourishing and can help us feel more present and truly in what we’re in.
So, dear Explorer, I invite you to pause, relax, and enjoy this March newsletter where we’ll get into various updates and shares - a quick overview;
New beginnings & offerings✨

FINAL Reminder (for a while!) - Somatic Experiencing® Rates🎓
Take a book, leave a book!📚
With Gratitude and MUCH Love,
-D’Arcy

As we step into March, we begin to feel the onset of Spring with the Equinox just ahead, the days getting longer, and perhaps a buzz of energy about. It can feel, in a way, like a rebirth. A new beginning.
You may have noticed a February newsletter didn’t hit your inbox.
My year began quickly. Taking time to reacclimate back home into life, sessions, and classes after a few weeks with family in Costa Rica. Before I knew it, I was off to Golden, CO in February to complete my three-year Somatic Experiencing® (SE™) certification program with Somatic Experiencing International (SE). If you’re new to the newsletter and/or would like a refresher on what SE is, I invite you to read the “What is Somatic Experiencing” piece from our December 2024 newsletter/blog post here.
All this to say, I have now graduated SEI and am officially a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP)!
My Journey with Somatic Experiencing (SE) and the
Somatic Experiencing International (SEI) Certification Program
and what it means for you.
The journey through this program has been a personal and professional growth-edge. I knew since I was a teenager I wanted to work with people in their healing. Through the stories and cultural beliefs I held (unbeknownst to me at the time) I followed a different path, not believing I was suited to do what I truly feel called to.
Once I found SE as a practice, working with my SEP weekly for 18 months, peeling back my own layers, I became aware of these beliefs I held since a young age, and realized the same passion held true - I still had a desire to work with people in their healing. And since SE had been the tool to get me to this very different place in life (so much more capacity, resilience - and more!), I applied for, enrolled in, and began SE training through SEI.
So, it seems, at least in my experience, perhaps that little girl DID know. It took her a while to get there, and the path has turned out to be different from what she imagined - and - offering SE to Explorers these past few years as a student in the SEI program has been one of the most fulfilling and deeply rewarding things I’ve chosen to do in my life. Thank you to everyone who has trusted me to work with them as I moved through the SEI training - it means more to me than you may know and I look forward to our continued work together!🙏🏼
So, what does this all mean for you?!?!
If you’re working with me in SE or are interested in working with me in SE, there’s a new layer or component to the work we may get into together.
Allow me to elaborate.
The end of the SEI program had us learning and exploring Somatic Touch Work. This is a piece to the SE “container” that has been even more profound to me as a client receiving Touch SE, and also for the Explorers I’m working with who have already had the opportunity to receive Touch Work since I’ve returned from my final training.
Touch in an SE session is specifically geared to allow for further opening to continue to move, release, and process what is ready to move, release, and process. In our culture today, touch is something we’ve forgotten; something we may even feel awkward around - for various reasons. And in the very subtle, gentle Touch Work offered in an SE session (only if and when it’s appropriate; and consent will always be requested and agreed to before any touch is offered) our bodies can remember and/or learn how it feels to receive supportive touch in a safe container - touch specifically geared to allow the nervous system to untangle, loosen, and let go in the way it’s ready to untangle, loosen, and let go.
If you’re interested in working with me in SE, feel free to book your consultation today. My rates will increase to reflect my recent graduation mid-March, so now is a great time to secure my discounted student rates before the increase.
Pranassage® Certification
The week after I completed my SEI training in CO I returned home to Boise and began my Pranassage certification!
February was a month of learning, training, and so-much-TOUCH!
A bit about:
My “why” around doing this Pranassage® certification program
What Pranassage® is
How you can receive Pranassage®
My Why:
During my 300 hour Yoga Teacher Training program years ago, we had a short weekend module to explore Pranassage® - and I loved it! It offered the recipient of Pranassage® to relax more into their body and into presence. It allowed me as the Practitioner to share healing touch, movements, and even get more comfortable offering hands-on assists in my yoga classes. I loved it so much that I asked my teacher a few times if she could do a full certification program - and so she received the blessing from her teacher (the creator of Pranassage®) and offered the training!
What is Pranassage®*?
Created by Amba Stapleton (my teacher’s teacher), Pranassage® is a creative synthesis of yoga and bodywork that produces deep relaxation in both the receiver and the giver. Often it’s described as something similar to Thai massage - but it’s not!
As a receiver of Pranassage®, your Practitioner will bring your body into a flow of positions, allowing you to remain (mostly) passive so that you can feel each position from the inside out. As your body is guided through sequences of movement, you will be able to witness perhaps forgotten possibilities for motion and action, creating balance and relief throughout every part of your being.
This form of effortless movement reeducates and neurologically reorganizes the receiver’s physical being, replacing inefficient patterns with fluid, harmonious and efficient movements.
The experience of Pranassage®:
Encourages a relationship with gravity - By allowing the force of gravity to do the work, the giver is able to remain relaxed while the receiver’s body releases the weight of unnecessary tension.
Increases sensation, providing insight into areas of tension and openness in the body.
Creates a direct line of communication with the body, as the practitioner asks “would you like more or less pressure,” and the receiver listens internally for what is needed, moment by moment.
Pranassage® is grounded in the science of yoga, as well as anatomy, physiology and efficient body mechanics.
How you can receive Pranassage®:
I have completed one of two 4-day intensive Pranassage® trainings, and as such, am currently offering Pranassage® practice sessions to friends, family and current Heart Space Center Explorers who have worked with me for a while. So far the main feedback I’ve received is, “That was awesome - when will this be added to your menu!?!”.
And the answer is - soon!
Once I complete all my necessary practice sessions I’ll be adding a discounted Pranassage® booking to my menu. Once I receive my Pranassage® certification my rates will increase to reflect this.
So, stay tuned - discounted Pranassage® sessions will be added to the menu soon!

We had another beautiful Somatic Breathwork Ceremony at the end of January in the sacred container of Ananda Yoga Space.✨Thank you to all who joined!
Since that January offering many folks have asked when the next one will be.
I don’t have anything scheduled yet but I assure you, I am working on choosing the date for our next Ceremonial Somatic Breathwork offering.
The January offering sold out, so keep your eyes peeled as the next one will be shared as soon as we finalize the date and time! If you’re interested in being one of the first to learn about that next offering, so you can snag your spot, click the link below to sign up for our newsletter.

One of my dear teachers and friends finished hosting her annual retreat in Mexico at the same time things in Mexico hit the fan. She reached out to her community to let us know that she and the retreat attendees were okay - and thank goodness!
In the days since the initial news about the cartel in Mexico, one of my husband’s friends shared a post as he was in the process of flying out of Puerto Vallarta amidst the cartel retaliation.
I am not sharing the post here because it was triggering - and the triggering components aren’t what stood out to me, so not necessary to share it all.
What stood out to me about this person’s post was what he was experiencing as he was, first-hand seeing (and video-ing) what was happening both on his drive to the airport and within his experience on the plane as they attempted, and eventually successfully took off from, Puerto Vallarta.
This person - whom is not a close friend of my husband’s - actually someone I’ve never even met - works in wealth management; focused on saving and making money for his clients.
In his moments of trying to safely return to his family and his home, he shared that the last thing he was thinking of in those moments was money. All he could think about was safely making it home to his wife and his kids.
Simple as that.
I’ve searched and searched and cannot find a direct quote, but a story Ram Dass often tells in his experiences of sitting with people as they move on from this life; as they are in the process of dying, are the truths he hears them speak. Usually the one thing they would tell him they wish they had done more of is love. To experience love. To share love. To speak love.
Love.
And in this particular person’s fear of making it back home, safely, to his family, he was not thinking of his clients and how much money he had, or his career in wealth management. He was thinking of his family, and the people that matter to him; his loved ones.
There is so much power in sharing stories. Social media is great and horrible - good, bad, and ugly. And sometimes in the “good” of it we get a gem like this share. Yes, a bit triggering when you see the full post, and the meat of his story, the takeaway - the people in our lives we love - that’s what matters.
For you it may be the person who regularly rings you up at the grocery store; the smile they share, and the kindness they offer with a joke or a genuine hello. Maybe it’s a teacher. Maybe it’s a partner or a parent, a kiddo or a friend. Maybe it’s several people. Whoever it or they may be, if you haven’t told them in a while, perhaps it’s time to let them know how much they mean to you.
Life is short. And sometimes we are reminded about the importance to love deeply, fully, and honestly.
And in that, I love you.
And, I invite you to please, pass it on.
PS - in my search for a direct quote from Ram Dass about the story I shared above, I landed across this other gem of a story he shares, about death as a reminder to live fully. Check it out if you want to dive deeper.

For the Explorers that see me in person for sessions, if you haven’t yet noticed our new Little Lending Library, I invite you to check it out on your way in or out next time.
My love for books didn’t begin until I was in my 20’s, but I have loved reading ever since! For Christmas the number one thing I put on my Christmas wish list was a lending library, so we could share our love of books with those in our neighborhood - and also enjoy receiving what folks choose to drop off. It’s been so fun already!
I invite you to grab a book or a drop a book next time you pop in!📚
